Astral projection!

Astral Travel is very different to normal dreaming. It is an extraordinary experience. All who have experienced it can testify to its lucidity and magical quality.
It is interesting that conscious Astral Travel is experienced as clearly as we experience our daily life. In fact, it is even experienced more clearly at times: our senses seem sharper and the environment somehow more real.
It is often considered that Astral Travel (Out-of-Body Experiences) is only encountered by people that have had a near death experience after an accident or on the operating table. But Astral Travel is a natural possibility that anyone can develop through practice.
The Gnostic Movement teaches how to Astral Project (to pass consciously from the Physical Plane to the Astral Plane) with very successful results. One such practice of Astral Projection simply allows us to become aware of the natural process of going to sleep. If we manage to be aware of this, then we consequently become aware of our departure into the Astral Plane as well.
So when we are Astral Travelling, we are aware of the fact that we are physically asleep and that our physical body is at home in bed. We know we are actually in this other plane, as opposed to the dreamer who only realises they were not in the physical plane upon waking the next morning. While Astral Travelling we make conscious decisions - like where to go, what to do, or who to meet.


Why should we Astral Travel?

In the Astral the sky is not the limit. One can fly way beyond the blue sky, into deep space exploring the planets. One can consciously project to any part of the world through concentration...
We can fly through the air, having a birds eye view of what is below, traveling across the surface of our huge planet...
Imagine being able to glide over the ocean like a seagull, or being able to penetrate into it and breath beneath it like a fish...
We can meet enlightened beings, even of distant ancient traditions, who can help guide us along the Spiritual Path. Or we can even attend true esoteric schools and temples to learn much about the mysteries of life and death...
There is all sorts of hidden knowledge one can acquire through Astral Projection, knowledge that cannot be acquired in every day life, from other people or books.
This is the reason why many want to Astral Travel - to acquire knowledge through experience about ourselves, about the Earth, the Universe, or anything we want to.
All of this is available to us through Astral Travel. It is something worth experiencing and verifying.

The Astral Plane is another dimension, or a parallel universe, as a scientist would say. The Astral Plane is the dimension where each one of us go every time we sleep, with our Astral body. It is the land of dreams. Every night in our dreams we repeat to a greater or lesser degree our daily events, thoughts and feelings. These are often transformed by our psyche into the most ludicrous or fantastic scenarios. Our subconscious projects them into the Astral environment, and this is generally how our dreams are created.
This process is what clouds our perception of the real Astral environment, in much the same way as a daydream stops us from perceiving our physical environment.
Nonetheless, we may sometimes wake in the morning, recalling dreams of places we've never been before. It is very likely that we visited the Astral counterpart of that Physical place, even if it was in a hazy, dreamlike state.
Within the Astral Plane there exists all that exists in the Physical Plane. However, there is much in the Astral Plane that we could never find in the Physical: sacred temples, divine beings, amazing phenomenon...
But sadly, those unconscious thoughts and feelings, many of which we are unaware during the day, are recollected by the subconscious and projected into the Astral realm at night, either making our dream experiences too vague or blocking out the reality of where we are all together. This is one of the reasons why the Gnostic Movement teaches in-depth about Awareness and its development in our lives. This prolongs and intensifies our Astral experiences.

How do i relax?


It can be simple to relax deeply. You just naturally become aware of the tension that's in your body and relax it. You keep doing this until all of the tension you've seen is gone. It's important to be focussed during this so that no new tension gets introduced from distracting thoughts and emotions.

There can be a few ways to do this.

One way is working through the body from head to toe or toe to head, becoming aware of any tension felt in the top of the head for instance, and relaxing it, then moving on to the next part of the body like the forehead, and doing the same and so on, until you reach your feet and all the parts of your body are relaxed.

Another way is just letting all the tension in your body go at once, doing this again and again until all the tension is gone. It's like sending waves of relaxation throughout the body. I find this very effective when I focus on my breath and let all the tension go with exhaling.
