hello. i think i may be able to help.
there is such a thing as ghost sensing equitment. you can get
emf meters: which detect the electromagnetic fields, because ghosts can disrupt them, so the meter shows that.
cameras: obviously, you can use digital, or regular, they can catch the things we cant see with our eyes. they have different types of film too. there is regular, infared.
video cameras: they also pick up what we may miss. (plus you may know if a ghost is around if your batteries go dead all of a sudden, since they tend to drain batteries for energy) they have these awesome cameras with this feature on them called thermovision. It 's like night mode but instead of magnifying light, it detects body heat, and temperatures. so things that have very low temps (like ghosts) will show up a dark black or blue. things that are warm (like us) will show up red and yellow.
voice recorders: these are my favorite tool to use. i reccomend you use a taperecorder with an external microphone (on a cord). it is much clearer when you play back. the internal mics pick up the sounds of the machine it's self, so when you play it back you hear a lot of static and its very distracting. but you can set a recorder up in a room, and ask questions to the ghost, and it may answer them. the recorder can pick up things we cant hear, because the frequency that the ghost may "speak" in is lower than our ears can pick up. but we can hear it when the recorder picks it up.
how to set up: ~first make sure you have enough batteries on hand. ~and make sure you have permission to be where ever you are hunting. you dont want to get arrested ;D ~when recording anything audio ar visual, speak in your normal voice, dont whisper (it might be mistaken for a ghost later when you go back to look at it) ~make note of all the noises you may hear durring your hunt so, again, you dont mistake them for something paranormal. ~keep record of the weather conditions, so if its raining and you get a picture of an orb, you know that it is most likley a rain drop. the same goes for fog.
hope this helped a little. ;D
